Gunpowder green tea, organic

Gunpowder is the definite classic amongst green teas. It has a distinct appearance that is difficult to miss - the leaves have been curled up into little ball shapes, reminding one of gunpowder. Another theory suggests that the Mandarin name for this tea - gāng pào de - sounds like 'gunpowder' to the foreign ear. Be it as it is, the tea itself has been appreciated widely due to its bold and frank, fruity, smokey, roasty character. If you like strong flavours, this is the green tea for you! In Morocco they add mint and a lot of sugar to their gunpowder tea, it's an important part of the daily life. This tea has an EU organic certificate.

Brewing suggestions: 3 grams of tea per 200ml of 80C water, 1st steeping 1min, 2nd steeping 1-2min, 3rd steeping 2-3min.
