Emei Mao Feng is a celebrated green tea from Emei Mountain range in Sichuan, China. This mountain has played an important role in Chinese cultural history and is considered to be one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains in China, where the growing of tea goes back more than a thousand years to Tang dynasty, with a rich tradition of monastery tea gardens and tribute tea to the Imperial Court.

The name "Mao Feng" translates to "Hairy Peak", referring to the fine, downy buds that are carefully handpicked during the early spring. The tea comes from a wild tea garden where the plants are grown from seeds and are genetically diverse. This results in a tea with a more lively, vibrant feeling and longer lasting aftertaste. The tea is light and refreshing with a sweet vegetal taste that carries subtle floral notes, the flavour is fragrant and uplifting with hints of chestnut and fresh grass. The texture is smooth and silky.

Brewing suggestions: 3 grams of tea per 200ml of 80C water, 1st steeping 1min, 2nd steeping 1-2min, 3rd steeping 2-3min.
